INDIANAPOLIS – Baylor men’s tennis had three selections named to participate in NCAA individual championship action starting May 23 in Orlando, Fla.

The NCAA Division I Men’s Tennis Subcommittee made the announcement Tuesday evening that fifth-year senior Constantin Frantzen and fourth-year junior Sven Lah garnered a top-eight seed in the 32-tandem doubles bracket, while third-year sophomore Adrian Boitan and fourth-year junior Matias Soto are two of the 51 at-large bids into the 64-player singles tournament.

The NCAA Singles & Doubles Championships will be held at the USTA Tennis Campus from May 23-29 in Orlando, Fla., following the conclusion of team championship play. All matches will be best-of-three sets. No-ad scoring and 7-point tiebreakers at six-games-all will be used for all matches. In doubles, a 10-point match tiebreaker will be played in lieu of a third set.

Frantzen and Lah are currently ranked the No. 14 doubles team in the latest Oracle/ITA rankings with an 11-7 record on the year. The duo owns a 6-2 mark against nationally ranked opponents.

In singles, Soto checks in at No. 11 with an 18-4 tally this season, while Boitan follows close behind at No. 28 with a 15-5 record in 2021. Both Soto and Boitan are 9-4 against ranked opponents this year.

Team competition was announced on Monday, with the Bears set to host the NCAA First and Second Rounds with Alabama, Oregon and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi drawn to the Waco Regional on May 8-9.

Alabama and Oregon will meet on Saturday at 11 a.m., followed by Baylor and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi at 2 p.m. The winners of those two matches will then square off on Sunday at 2 p.m. for a spot in the Round of 16.
