WACO, Texas – Baylor junior punter Issac Power earned a spot on the Ray Guy Award pre-season watch list for 2021, Wednesday.

Power, a Castle Rock, Colo., native is in his fourth season with Bears and has been a two-time Academic All-Big 12 First Team selection. He redshirted in 2018 but had one punt in the Texas Bowl for 47 yards. From there, he’s punted 125 times in his career with an average of 40.4 yards per kick.

As a redshirt freshman in 2019, Power had 10 punts over the 50-yard mark, including 23 punts inside the 20-yard line. He followed up as a sophomore, booting his career-long of 66 yards at Texas, Oct. 24, and he caried an average of 40.3 yards per punt fo the second-straight season. He landed seven punts inside the 20-yard line.

The Augusta Sports Council in Georgia sponsors the Ray Guy Award, and the honor will be a part of the Home Depot College Football Awards on ESPN, Thursday, Dec. 9.
