• Baylor hosts No. 10 Kansas in its second straight game vs. a ranked opponent at 3 p.m. CT Saturday.
• Saturday's game will be televised on ESPN with Rich Hollenberg and Fran Fraschilla on the call.
• Saturday is the 35th series meeting. KU leads the series 22-4, including an 11-3 mark in Waco.
• Baylor and Kansas split the series last year. KU won by 3 in Lawrence and BU won by 16 in Waco.

CLARK EFFICIENT ON BOTH ENDS

• Clark ranks 3rd in the Big 12 and 18th nationally with 2.43 blocks per game, and with 34 blocks through 14 games, he's surpassed last season's blocked shots total (29 blocks in 33 games).
• Clark's 34 blocked shots are more than 43 Division I teams (thru Jan. 10), and he's blocked multiple shots in 11 of 14 games this season after doing so in 9 of 33 games as a freshman last season.

MCCLURE LEADING AS LONE RETURNING SENIOR
• Senior King McClure<https://baylorbears.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=7064>, Baylor's lone player with 3+ years in the program, has taken his game to a new level this season. He's averaging 10.2 points per game, up 2.1 points from last year's 8.1 ppg average.
• McClure is shooting 41% from the field (up 2% from last year), 37% from 3-point range (up 2%), has nearly doubled his rebounding average to 4.9 rpg (up from 2.5 rpg) and is averaging 2.4 assists per game (up from 1.7 apg).
• McClure has posted 20+ points 3 times this season after doing so in 1 of 100 games over his first 3 years.
• McClure set a program record for rebounds by a guard when he grabbed 14 boards against George Mason (11/24).

MASON BATTLING THROUGH INJURED ANKLE
• Makai Mason<https://baylorbears.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=7071> has started the last 11 games after missing the majority of the previous 2+ seasons due to injury.
• Mason played in only 1 game over his last two seasons at Yale before joining the Bears as a grad transfer. He also missed the first 3 games at Baylor with an ankle injury before debuting as the first grad transfer in program history on Nov. 16.
• Mason leads the team with 15.1 points, 3.0 assists and 32.1 minutes per game.
• Mason led the Bears to a huge road win at Arizona (12/15) with a game-high 22 points and career-high 7 rebounds.
• Mason has a season-high 25 points in the win over No. 20 Iowa State (1/8), including 7 points in the final 2 minutes.
• He has scored 10+ points in 10 of 11 games played, including 4 games with 18+ points.

VITAL DOING THE DIRTY WORK
• Despite being undersized at 6-foot-5, Mark Vital<https://baylorbears.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=7066> leads the Big 12 with 3.4 offensive rebounds per game. He also ranks 6th in rebounding (7.2 rpg), 15th in steals (1.3 spg), 13th in blocks (0.7 bpg) and 30th in minutes (27.1 mpg).
• Vital leads the nation with a 95.2 free throw rate, attempting nearly as many free throws (59) and field goals (62).
• Vital posted 17 rebounds in Baylor's win at Arizona, which were 3 more than all Arizona players combined (14).

KEGLER SETTLING IN AFTER LONG LAYOFF
• Mario Kegler<https://baylorbears.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=7062> went 629 days between games after sitting out the 2017-18 following his transfer from Mississippi State and then missing the first 6 games this season.
• Kegler had started the last 8 games and shown significant improvement shooting in the last 3 games. After going a combined 15-of-47 (32%) from the field in his first 5 games, he's shot 12-of-26 (46%) in the last 3 games.
• Kegler had a career-high 10 rebounds, 7 points, 2 assists, 1 block and 1 steal in the win over No. 20 Iowa State.
• Kegler has played at 22+ minutes and grabbed 5+ rebounds in all 8 games played this season.

BUTLER MANAGING GAME OFF BENCH
• Freshman guard Jared Butler<https://baylorbears.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=7072> leads the team with a 1.7 assist-to-turnover ratio (26a/15t). He's played in all 14 games and has come off the bench in the last 13 games, averaging 20.6 minutes per game.
• In his last 3 games, Butler has posted 12 assists and just 4 turnovers, averaging 7.3 ppg and 4.0 apg.

• The Bears won despite shooting 6.4% lower (BU-.436; ISU-.500) and attempting one fewer field goal than Iowa State. BU went a season-best 17-of-20 at the free throw line.
