<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">We are excited to announce the details about the 2026 summer installment of our Equip to Care education series. As in previous years and in alignment with NCAA recommendations to provide staff education,
we are providing (5) opportunities for staff mental health education. The attached flyer provides more details about each date, topic and location for the session.

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">Additionally, new to our Equip to Care series this year will be the inclusion of staff education hosted by our Student-Athlete Formation staff. The focus of these sessions will be to provide education on
spiritual/character formation topics while also including details of how we are meeting education expectations to provide “life skills” resources to our student-athletes. As you will note in the attached flyer, these sessions will be offered on Wednesday’s
at 11am on weeks when the mental health education sessions are not held. <o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><b><span style="font-size:11.0pt">It is required that you attend at least one session lead by each Mental Health and Student-Athlete Formation staff, however, you are more than welcome to attend as many of the session you are able to attend</span></b><span style="font-size:11.0pt">. <o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">Our first session is this coming
<b><u>Wednesday, June 3<sup>rd</sup> at 11am in the XTO Room</u></b> (2<sup>nd</sup> Floor, Simpson Athletics and Academic Center). The topic is
<i>“Eating Disorders Impact on Mental Health”</i> and will be hosted by our very own Kristin Fant, RDN, CSSD, LD. For the past three years, Kristin has served as Assistant AD and the lead for our Performance Nutrition unit. She has presented nationally on
the topic of athletes and disordered eating/eating disorders and will provide an informed discussion on how a person’s mental health is can be involved for people impacted with these specific conditions.
