23 years, and while I have thoroughly enjoyed this amazing journey with you, I feel it is time for me to begin checking a few things off my personal bucket list while I am still able.

<p class="MsoNormal"><em><span style="font-size:10.5pt;font-family:"Georgia",serif;color:black">Arriving at the decision to retire at this time was not easy. My experiences have been professionally and personally rewarding, and I will treasure the friendships
and memories we have shared forever. I will never forget my first day on the job when our beloved Dutch Schroeder showed me the range of responsibilities bestowed upon the director of the association. You can imagine how surprised I was to learn that those
responsibilities ranged from regular hospital visits to praying with the sick to cleaning the lounge restrooms after game days. With Dutch, there was no job too big or too small when it involved serving others, especially B Association members. That example
of servant leadership stuck with me, and I hope it was reflected in my contributions to the "B" Association and to the university.
