Excited to Begin This Next Chapter Together

As I anxiously count down the days until I officially join the team, I want to extend a note of gratitude and an update on the weeks ahead.



First, thank you! I am overwhelmed by your welcome, the opportunities I've had to connect with many of you and for the kindness you've shown my family during this transition. Last week reaffirmed what I already knew—Baylor is special and so are its people.



My official first day on campus will be Friday, December 19th. Knowing that date is also the last work day before the University closes for the holidays, I realize many of you will already be traveling or heading out early to be with family. Please do not feel the need to change your plans.  I'll be here when you return, ready to connect with each of you.



As we head into Christmas, my prayer for you is simple. In the midst of the busyness, I pray you can unplug, rest, and center yourselves on the joy and peace of the season. May this time away be a source of spiritual refreshment and rich, meaningful time with your loved ones.



When we return after the new year, we’ll hit the ground running and kick things off with an All-Staff Meeting on Tuesday, January 6th, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. I can’t wait to be with all of you to share my vision, have some fun, and officially begin this next chapter together.



Thank you for everything you do for our student-athletes and for Baylor. I am truly honored to serve this team.
