Baylor Football is officially headed to the Kinder’s Texas Bowl. Kickoff is set for Tuesday, December 31, at 2:30pm CT, at NRG Stadium in Houston, TX.

In appreciation of your tremendous work, we would like to extend an offer for complimentary game tickets for you and one additional guest or the number of your immediate family members (i.e., spouse and children, whether living at home or not). All meals, lodging and transportation costs are at your own expense.

Due to IRS regulations, complimentary tickets are considered a taxable benefit, and payroll taxes will be withheld. Complimentary tickets are subject to the same withholding rules as regular compensation. The percentage you are taxed will be based on your individual tax bracket.

  *   Complimentary tickets are intended for your personal use and not for resale.
  *   Complimentary tickets cannot be traded or bartered for goods or services.
  *   Complimentary tickets cannot be given to prospective or current student-athletes.
  *   Violations of the Complimentary Tickets policy could result in the loss of ticket privileges and possible termination of employment.

The value of a ticket to this year’s game is $123.75. For example, if an individual accepts this offer and receives four tickets at $123.75 (i.e., $495.00 total), they will have approximately $124 - $174 (25-35%) withheld from their paycheck. The amount withheld from your paycheck depends on your tax bracket and will be withheld at a later payroll date (e.g., March payroll or April payroll…once all tickets can be reconciled by the bowl game, conference office, and BU ATH Business Office).
