Athletics Staff:

We hope you all had a great weekend supporting our sport programs!  We are joining the Baylor Equity, Civil Rights and Title IX Office on campus for Denim Day, on Wednesday, April 24. Denim Day is a national awareness campaign, encouraging participants to wear denim on the last Wednesday of April, Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Denim Day was established in 1999 in response to a judge's ruling that a survivor could not have been assaulted since she was wearing tight jeans. The day of action and awareness was set aside in support of survivors to shift misconceptions surrounding sexual assault and educate others about need to eliminate victim blaming. There are multiple opportunities to join us in recognizing Denim Day:

  *   Wear denim (jeans, jackets, etc.)
  *   Wear a Denim Day Button (Can be picked up Wednesday morning at the table in the central hallway overlooking the trophy cases.)
  *   Visit the Denim Day Photo Booth Event: 8:00 - 4:00pm at the stage in the SUB across from Common Grounds.
  *   Share your Denim Day photos on social media using #DenimDay, and tagging @BU_Equity!
