Please see the below regarding the Mayborn construction project along with the PDF that shows the two phases. The project, starting December 4th , will add a new entrance to the Mayborn lot on the West side of Simpson by our second entrance. This will become the new main entrance for the Mayborn. There should not be any major impact to Simpson parking entrances.

Please take note that our normal walking paths along Simpson will be under construction (especially during phase 2).

The project is split into two phases:


  *   Phase 1: Dec 4th - Jan 18th  (tentative construction dates)
     *   Cut in the new entrance on the East side of the parking lot between Mayborn and Simpson


  *   Phase 2: Jan 9th - Apr 3rd  (tentative construction dates)
     *   Create a new front plaza for the Mammoths, bus & fire lanes
     *   This phase will require a lane closure on Univ. Parks for construction activities and bus drop-off/pick-up for the Mayborn guests
     *   The GC is currently engaging with the city to review these plans and emergency access and can also review with Baylor PD
