<div>The opening theme is taken from the first movement of Ralph Vaughan Williams’ 6th Symphony. This was actually written in 1948 and the last movement (Epilogue) is reminiscent of a bombed out wasteland, a very eerie ending to a symphony.
<div>On another note, I have been in contact with a friend of Lesley Nunnerley (Margaret Ashton Porter) who tells me that Lesley has turned 90 this year and is not enjoying good health at the moment. I was in contact with Lesley a number of years ago but I
have not had any response to messages. She does not like talking about her AFAW days, which is a great pity!</div>
