I’m sure my aunt had an Anderson shelter because I remember nights in the shelter being mentioned a long time ago, but I was too young to be very interested, so didn’t ask any questions (as so often the case). I don’t ever recall seeing any evidence of it in their garden.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt;color:#1F497D'>An uncle was said to have suffered badly with his nerves after experiencing air raids in Birmingham, which is easy to imagine.
