He wrote to ask whether I could identify which episode he appeared in as an extra. He remembered that it was an outdoor summer scene, with lots of games, and that he was having a pillow fight with his cousin. This would have been filmed around 1972.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span lang=EN-US style='font-size:14.0pt'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span lang=EN-US style='font-size:14.0pt'>I informed Colin that this had to be Episode 39, "Spread a Little Happiness," in which Sefton Briggs takes Ada Down to the church bazaar. Sure enough, I found the scene in question, and I sent Colin a few still photos of himself, performing on television 46 years ago.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span lang=EN-US style='font-size:14.0pt'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span lang=EN-US style='font-size:14.0pt'>Colin's cousin is holding a pillow and facing the camera. That boy's opponent, with his back to the camera and wearing an irish Aran sweater, is Colin himself. Visible standing near him are Helen Hughes (Georgine Anderson) and Edwin Ashton (Colin Douglas). I made one or two appearances in Coronation Street too, all around the same time. I used to get taken and dropped off at school.
