Sam is really a splendid series, and it really needs to be seen to counter the silliness of Downton Abbey (sorry, fans!) and Benny Hill. I see Talking Puctures ads on Twitter and there is such a wealth of wonderful Brtish shows that demand to come ‘lout of the closet” (“out from the attic”?)—everything John Finch penned and so much from the early 70s instead of the glammed-up 1990s. I’m certain enough exists that wasn’t wiped to make up some decent programming. I just found a reference to a 1971 version of The Woodlanders with Michael Goodliffe (from Sam) that looks stunning! Suppose some of us contacted him suggesting that they show Sam; after all, they have been or are showing AFAW.
