<p><span style="font-size:12.0pt;color:black">I have read this - it is a very good book. I acquired a good second hand copy and imagine my surprise when it held an inscription from 'John' to 'Stan'. I enquired with John Finch as to where it could have come
from and it was a copy John had sent to 'his mate Stan Barstow'!! I was quite shocked!<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:12.0pt;color:black">He went on to say regarding the reason why it was sold was that it must have been disposed of by Stan's wife after Stan had died. <o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:12.0pt;color:black">I was very pleased, being a huge fan of Stan's books (in particular A Kind of Loving, The Watchers on the Shore, and The Right True End.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
