It's arrived and on giving it a very quick preview I'm not disappointed. Original Granada captions and break bumpers all present and correct!

On first impressions the series could have come immediately after AFAW had ended, not seven years afterwards ( © date is 1979 on the Granada end caption. ITV only started dating their programmes from 1973-5).<br>

Another fine quality drama from Granada. Can't go wrong with the involvement of John Finch and HV Kershaw.<br>

<br>

Think the last fine Granada period drama I remember was Stan Barstow's A Kind of Loving trilogy from 1982. I watched it first time round and thought it was excellent. Also out on a Network DVD incidentally.<br>
