Mr. Finch’s reply suggested the following query: wouldn’t the writer of the script, or the show deviser (Mr. Finch), decide who was being heard on the radio insert, or (rights being what they are) was there some generalized stage direction, such as “E. listens to ______ (a comedian) and giggles” and the production staff fills in what’s available? I mean, if you wanted your character to, e.g., be a fan of Perry Como, but the staff could only provide Bing Crosby, wouldn’t that be a problem?

Brian, as always, thank you so much!

On Monday, April 9, 2018, 1:03 PM, Brian Renforth via Afamilyatwar-list <afamilyatwar-list@baylor.edu> wrote:

Hi to you both,

I've asked the people on the UK Vintage Radio Restoration and Repair website if they have any ideas on the artists and programmes featured on AFAW. A long shot but worth a try.

They did a thread about Grace's TV set back in January which had generated a lot of interest and in the programme itself.
