I've long thought how greatly would be for there have been a book written based on the series conception, casting, storylines, cast and crew recollections and anecdotes. In addition, a synopsis and review of each individual episode. I have a book about the creation and making of the BBC series Secret Army and it's excellent. I long for such a book about a family at war.

What I do have is the paperbacks that were fiction and following an episode of two but that's not the type of book I'm talking about. I do have a tatty sort of scrapbook, a souvenir briefly about the characters and actors but it's not what I wish we had which is a detailed quality book about the series production.
