He was indeed!!

When I watched as a teenage girl when it was first aired I was ‘in love’ with Keith Drinkel
But over 50 years on … I cannot believe I was
If I had the chance again to cut photos out of TV Times it would be John P for me!!

All the story lines remain so vivid in my memory … it truly set me on my journey of studying social history
This and USDS. Two ever green social history TV programmes … unlikely so see their like again
Oh, and Jewel in the Crown of course. Likely one of the greatest series ever made EVER!
Am I allowed to mention other programmes on this thread? Sorry if not and it will not happen again!!

PS My sister has chosen the theme tune for her funeral … yes FAW has that kind of effect on some people!!

PPS Tomorrow I will be guiding around Foulden Road in Stoke Newington/Dalston in North London where Alexander Baron, who wrote 
several of the episodes, lived as a child and when when returned from war.  Everything links up!!
