That episode, 'For Strategic Reasons', was an excellent one. Philip Ashton (Keith Drinkel) and Dominique Brehaut (Prunella Ransome) displayed some very believable on-screen chemistry, which made the story all the more interesting.

The wonderful Ray Smith played Sergeant Connor quite well, and so did Michael Williams as Eddie Chappell. By the way, does anyone else in our group think Michael Williams closely resembled the famous American actor/comedian Robin Williams? There was no relation between them.

I never saw this when it was on in the 1970s. Must have missed it. It must have been worrying for the Guernsey people when the army left suddenly. And Philip Ashton left his girlfriend behind. Wonder whether we’ll see more of her later on.
