Many thanks again, Gert. These items of memorabilia are absolutely wonderful to see. What a brilliant cast was assembled for 'A Family at War', and you were able to correspond with so many of them. The photos bring back lots of memories of the series and remind me that I need to binge-rewatch all 52 episodes sometime soon. I suppose my favourite characters would have to be Margaret, David, and Tony, but I love them all — well, maybe not Celia Porter so much!

Subject: [Afamilyatwar-list] Coral Atkins, Colin Campbell and Rowena Cooper
And so we now get to David and Sheila Ashton - and thereby Colin Campbell and Coral Atkins.
After a long search for a way to contact Coral Atkins I finally had some luck as Coral's ex-husband Peter Whitehead agreed to ask her if I could write to her. Luckily she accepted and I got her address. Apart from signing the photos I sent to her she later also sent me a privat photo with a message written on the back of it. Sadly Coral died in 2016 at the age of 80.
As for Colin Campbell he was one of the first AFAW-actors I communicated with.
It turned out that he had been living i Denmark for some years - first in the same city as I was born in and later he had visited the town I was living in when I first wrote him. Funny coincidence. I have included a small part of the envelope from Colin where he had written his address - you can see that he naturally had to be living in exactly THAT street ...
Colin went to the other side in 2018 aged 81.
Finally I have also attached a couple of signatures by Rowena Cooper who played the role of Susan Reynolds (episode 10, 11, 14). She was the wife of pilot Jack Reynolds, captain of David's former flight crew. Jack was killed on a flight mission which David missed because if an injured hand. Susan was maybe the first one to reject David when he tried to 'conquer' her.
Thanks for your patience - this marathon will soon be over.
All the best,
Gert
