I think Edwin and Jean.  They had their differences but it only really fell apart after Edwin signed Roberts papers to go to sea without telling her and he got killed.  When she found out what he’d done that was the end for them.  Although I have to say I think had he told her he was going to sign them it may have ended differently (Robert may not have even gone to sea).
