I've some memories of the series but was only eight years old when first shown. I remember those Hovis (bread) adverts with the boy on the bike to with Dvorak's New World Symphony tune always reminded me of it.

Mark McManus who played the grown up Sam is perhaps better known as Taggart who starred in the title role until he died in the 1990s.

An offer of £100 for what's probably an edited version is ridiculous. I'd rather wait for a. Network release which surely can't be too far away?
