A lovely piece indeed. Many thanks for the link. A shame Colin's passing wasn't reported by many in the media. I was the first to notify The Mausoleum Club Forum, (under my Focus II name), for example, and they are enthusiasts for old TV programmes.

For an actor to play a character I profoundly disliked in the early episodes of AFAW, but understood David a lot better later, it was nice to read about Colin himself.

Mistakes do occur if there's another actor of the same name.

I was reminded of Sandra Bryant who appeared in the early episodes of the Thames TV "Special Branch" (the 1969 series 1 is superb incidentally, yet the second series in 1970 was hugely disappointing).

She was confused by a singer of the same name so much the actor Sandra Bryant's image was shown on the You Tube uploads of the singer's two fine Major Minor singles.

This forced the singer Sandra Bryant herself to contribute feedback to say she wasn't the same person as the actor of the same name!
