Lesley Nunnerley
Ten years ago a number of members of our group started to ask about this
actor; history has repeated recently. I did a bit of research.
By then Lesley had stopped acting professionally. She lived in
Hampshire and belonged to an amateur dramatics group called the Hamble
Players. The local newspaper, called Southern Daily Echo, publishes its
amateur theatrical awards each year. In the edition of 21 January 2008
Lesley received an award for Lady Frederick. Here is a link

In 2015 she won a nomination for another award from the same newspaper,
but this time she was with the Lymington Players as Nora in Star
Quality. Here is the link

Lesley was born in 1935 and so is about 83.
If you find the Lymington Group website you will find a photo of Lesley
in Star Quality. I am not giving a link - have fun finding it!
Thanks to those members supplying fascinating reading concerning
recordings of AFAW. To fit a programme into the time allotted must be
tricky. The BBC has a system with its Wild Life programmes.
I understand that these programmes are usually sold abroad, as one-hour
events, before they are made. However some countries apparently need 10
minutes for commercials. So the actual programmes are 50 minutes long.
When they are shown in the UK a second (10 minutes) programme is shown
after the main one. This programme shows how the one just shown was
made.
