Hi

I have read this - it is a very good book.  I acquired a good second hand copy and imagine my surprise when it held an inscription from 'John' to 'Stan'.  I enquired with John Finch as to where it could have come from and it was a copy John had sent to 'his mate Stan Barstow'!!  I was quite shocked!


He went on to say regarding the reason why it was sold was that it must have been disposed of by Stan's wife after Stan had died.


I was very pleased, being a huge fan of Stan's books (in particular A Kind of Loving, The Watchers on the Shore, and The Right True End.


Wow!!
