My wife recently saw this and agrees with you completely! At the risk of going off-topic, are there other series that AFAW fans recommend? Having gone through dozens of series, and having mentioned Forsyte Saga and Matador (and agreeing to the excellence of Jewel in the Crown, Brideshead, and To Serve Them), I add Wish Me Luck, Yes, [Prime] Minister (pace Monty Python), All Creatures Great and Small, Secret Army (and its brief follow-on), and Colditz. There are several Danish and Swedish series (e.g., Borgen) but let’s avoid the Continent (and such as Bergerac, Midsomer Murders, George Gently, etc.). Thank you all!
